Fahima Ali
the therapist who built this.

Fahima is a humanistic, trauma-informed psychotherapist and the founder of Peace by Piece Inner Therapy. She grew up in East London and saw, from the inside, the gap between the support that existed and what her community actually needed.

She works with individuals and couples on trauma, relationships, identity, culture and faith. Every session is held with care that only comes from someone who genuinely understands your world.

Humera Patel, Qualified Psychotherapist

Humera Patel

Qualified Psychotherapist

I am a qualified counsellor and my aim is to offer a space for clients to grow and flourish in different areas of life. It has become my passion and one of my life goals to create and offer tools needed for clients to reach their full potential. I am a registered member of the BACP, which means that I follow an ethical framework and adhere to a professional governing body. I am mainly person centred in my work; however, I integrate elements of CBT, Gestalt, Mindfulness, a Holistic Islamic approach and the psychodynamic approach appropriately to provide beneficial tools to support my clients. I began working with children and adults in an educational setting as a Tutor, Mentor and Support Assistant. I created workshops around mental health for local schools and organisations, increasing awareness within the community, and I now work in the field as a therapist, continuing to increase mental health awareness and providing support within the community. Outside of this, I spend my time surrounding myself with nature, self-care, family, Netflix, art, books and food.

Masuma Sultana, Qualified Psychotherapist

Masuma Sultana

Qualified Psychotherapist ยท BACP

I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, and I have been supporting people through life's challenges for over nine years. At the heart of my work is a deep respect for each person's story, and I aim to offer a space that is kind, compassionate and free of judgment. My approach is flexible and tailored to what you need, drawing on Person-Centred, Solution-Focused and Compassion-Focused therapies. I have worked with clients from all cultural backgrounds facing a wide range of experiences, including grief and loss, trauma and complex mental health difficulties, anxiety and depression, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, OCD, domestic abuse and neglect, low self-esteem and confidence, intrusive thoughts and neurodivergence including Autism and ADHD. I offer a culturally sensitive and neurodivergent-affirming space and can provide counselling in both English and Bengali. I also work as a grief specialist with a bereavement charity and have experience in hospice care. This work is more than just a job for me. I am passionate about helping and empowering people to find clarity, healing and a sense of their own strength. Having been through therapy myself, I know how hard it can be to reach out for help. It takes real courage to take that first step, and you do not have to do it alone. When I am not working, I love painting, experimenting in the kitchen and spending time with family and friends. Creativity and connection are a big part of who I am and I bring that same spirit into my work with clients. If you feel ready to begin your journey with someone alongside you, I would be honoured to walk with you.

Sadaf Butt, Qualified Psychotherapist

Sadaf Butt

Qualified Psychotherapist

My counselling approach is grounded in person-centred values. I believe that feeling heard, accepted and understood can make a real difference when someone is going through a difficult time. I work in an integrative way and draw on ideas from attachment theory and trauma-informed practice, adapting my approach depending on the person I am working with and what they need. I have supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression and the impact of domestic violence. Alongside my counselling work, I work in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) with children and young people who often come from trauma-based backgrounds. Many of the young people I work with are in care, have experienced significant challenges in their lives, or have struggled to remain in mainstream education. I also work closely with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), which has given me a strong awareness of the challenges that SEND children and their families or carers may face. I have experience working with members of the South Asian community and understand that cultural expectations, family dynamics and stigma around mental health can sometimes make it difficult for people to seek support. I have supported individuals and couples with marital difficulties, as well as young people who may feel caught between different cultural expectations. I aim to offer a space where these experiences can be talked about openly and without judgement. I speak Urdu and Punjabi, which can help clients who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their own language. In my work, I value warmth, honesty and patience. I believe everyone deserves a space where they can talk freely, reflect on their experiences and begin to move forward at their own pace.

Zahraa Hanif, Therapist

Zahraa Hanif

Qualified Psychotherapist

I am a compassionate and reflective counsellor who works from an integrative therapeutic approach, meaning I draw from different evidence-based counselling models to tailor support to everyone. I believe that no two people experience life in the same way, so therapy should be flexible, collaborative and centred around the client's unique needs. My work is influenced by person-centred therapy, psychodynamic understanding and cognitive-behavioural approaches, allowing us to explore both present challenges and deeper patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can speak openly, feel heard and develop greater self-awareness and resilience. I have experience supporting individuals with issues such as anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, life transitions and emotional overwhelm. I also bring an understanding of cultural, family and faith-related influences that can shape a person's experiences and decisions. As someone from a multicultural background, I am particularly mindful of the importance of cultural sensitivity in therapy. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and aim to create an environment where people feel respected, understood and comfortable bringing their whole selves into the room. I value personal growth and learning about different perspectives and cultures. I believe therapy is not about fixing someone, but about helping people reconnect with their strengths, understand themselves more deeply and move towards a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
