Overview

Hi, I’m Masuma, Welcome!
I’m a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, and I’ve been supporting people through life’s challenges for over nine years. At the heart of my work is a deep respect for each person’s story, and I aim to offer a space that’s kind, compassionate, and free of judgment.

My approach is flexible and tailored to what you need drawing on Person-Centred, Solution-Focused, and Compassion-Focused therapies. I’ve worked with clients from all cultural backgrounds facing a wide range of experiences, including:

  • Grief and loss
  • Trauma and complex mental health difficulties
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Self-harm and suicidal thoughts
  • OCD
  • Domestic abuse and neglect
  • Low self-esteem and confidence
  • Intrusive thoughts
  • Neurodivergence, including Autism and ADHD

I offer a culturally sensitive and neurodivergent-affirming space, and I can provide counselling in both English and Bengali. I also work as a grief specialist with a bereavement charity and have experience in hospice care.

This work is more than just a job for me. I’m passionate about helping and empowering people find clarity, healing, and a sense of their own strength. Having been through therapy myself, I know how hard it can be to reach out for help. It takes real courage to take that first step, and you don’t have to do it alone.

When I’m not working, I love painting, experimenting in the kitchen, and spending time with family and friends. Creativity and connection are a big part of who I am and I bring that same spirit into my work with clients.

If you feel ready to begin your journey with someone alongside you, I’d be honoured to walk with you.
